Below is what I use to recored great sounding tracks for your song. But more importantly that what gear is used, is what is produced by the gear. Take a listen to the audio demos to really hear the result.

Saxophones

As with all saxophones, you can get many different timbres and colors. This list is more of a staring place — a good foundation. Let me know what you're hearing in your head, and I'll do my best to match it.

Audio

I keep a clean signal all the way through, that way you can mix it as you wish. I use several mics depending on the need: Golden Age Project GA-251, Sennheiser MD 421, and a Shure Beta 58. That goes into an Apogee Symphony Desktop. A very clean sound.
